The road distance between Marrakech and Agadir is 250 kilometres on the A7 motorway. The route runs past Chichaoua, Imi n’Tanoute and Argana before reaching the Atlantic coast. The return leg crosses the same Argana gorge, the route’s highest point at 380 metres.
The A7 links Marrakech to Casablanca in the north and to Agadir in the south, a single corridor operated by ADM, Autoroutes du Maroc.
As the crow flies the two cities are only 205 kilometres apart. The extra 45 kilometres comes from routing around the western High Atlas through the Souss valley.
No regional road shortens this trip. The older N8 runs a parallel course through Imi n’Tanoute and the Argana gorge, without cutting the distance.
