What is minibus hire with a driver in Marrakech?

Minibus hire with a driver puts a 7- to 20-seat vehicle and its professional driver at your disposal, billed per vehicle rather than per passenger. Tourist passenger transport in Morocco requires a driver holding a professional card.

The legal frame comes from dahir no. 1-63-260 on road transport by motor vehicle, enforced by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics. A tourist transport company holds a named licence and assigns each vehicle to a driver with a category D licence and a professional card.

That frame rules out hiring a minibus without a driver for tourist use. In exchange it guarantees passenger insurance, a six-monthly technical inspection and a trained driver.

The service is built for groups of 4 to 30 people: families, groups of friends, travel agencies, corporate offsites and weddings.

The fleet

Which minibuses do we hire out in Marrakech?

Four capacities cover 95% of requests. Every vehicle leaves with a driver, rear air conditioning, 4G wifi and a hold sized for real suitcases.

Above 15 passengers we travel as a two-vehicle convoy with two drivers, on the same itinerary and at the same hourly rate. A 22-seat Toyota Coaster is available for weddings and conferences.

Which kinds of group do we work with?

We carry six client segments: travel agencies, corporate offsites, weddings, large families, school groups and company staff. Each has its own page, its recommended vehicles and its billing terms. Travel agencies get an annual framework contract billed on a 30-day invoice.

How much does minibus hire cost in Marrakech?

A 10-hour day costs €70 in a 7-seater van, €85 in a 9-seater minibus and €130 in a 15-seater, driver, fuel and tolls included. A single transfer from Menara airport starts at €25.

The rate is set per vehicle. Nine passengers in a 9-seater pay the same as one passenger, which brings a full day down to €9.44 per head at full load.

Beyond 250 km covered in a day, each extra kilometre is billed at €4.50 in a 9-seater. Multi-day tours include the driver’s accommodation.

Marrakech also has a cheap shared-minibus market. We do not operate in it: our vehicles leave with one group on board.

What do the groups we have carried say?

  • There were eight of us with eight suitcases. Youssef, our driver, reached the riad at 08:00 sharp and dropped us at Bab Doukkala at 11:00. He stopped at the argan cooperative without being asked.

    Claire Béraud · 12 March 2026 · Marrakech – Essaouira, 9-seater Hyundai Staria · 5/5

  • Three days, 1,120 km, fourteen people. The price on the quote is the price we paid, with no fuel surcharge and no mountain-pass fee. The Sprinter took the Tizi n’Tichka without complaint.

    Mark Tolley · 27 February 2026 · Merzouga 3-day tour, 15-seater Mercedes Sprinter · 5/5

  • Our flight was two hours late. The driver tracked the flight number and was still waiting at arrivals, with no waiting surcharge.

    Sofia Marín · 8 February 2026 · Menara airport transfer, 7-seater Mercedes Vito · 5/5

  • Two families, seventeen people, four children under six. All four child seats were fitted on arrival, at no extra charge.

The Ouanaïm and Ferrand families · 19 January 2026 · Ourika Valley, two vehicles, 9 and 12 seats · 4/5

Frequently asked questions

Can you hire a minibus in Marrakech without a driver?

No, not for tourist use. Carrying passengers for payment in Morocco requires a driver with a category D licence and a professional card. Self-drive firms offer 5- to 9-seat vehicles under a different status.

What does a cheap minibus in Marrakech actually cost?

The real floor is €70 a day for a 7-seater van. Below that, the price excludes fuel, waiting time or tolls, or the vehicle is shared with another group. Our rates are all-inclusive.

How many people fit in a minibus in Morocco?

Between 7 and 20 passengers depending on the vehicle. The common capacities are 7, 9, 12, 15 and 20 seats. Above that we send two vehicles in convoy rather than a coach, to keep access to unsurfaced tracks.

Does the driver speak English?

Yes, every one of our drivers speaks English and French. Six also speak Spanish. All speak Moroccan Arabic and Amazigh, which matters in Atlas villages. Youssef Amghar, lead driver since 2014, trains every new driver to the same language standard.

Can you hire a minibus with a driver outside Marrakech?

Yes, anywhere in Morocco. We depart from Marrakech and serve Agadir, Casablanca, Fès, Tangier, Chefchaouen and Merzouga. Pickups outside Marrakech are billed at the empty-running kilometre rate. Casablanca lies 240 km from Marrakech, a 2 h 30 drive on the A7 motorway.

How far ahead should you book?

48 hours is enough outside high season. Between March and May and again between September and November, allow a week. Weddings and conferences are booked two months ahead. The quote itself arrives within 2 business hours, time enough to compare capacities before booking.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Cash in dirhams or euros, and bank transfer. Payment is made to the driver at the end of the service. Businesses settle on invoice at 30 days. No deposit is requested below five vehicles booked.

Do you run hotel shuttles for a group?

Yes, either in rotation or with a dedicated vehicle. A hotel-to-venue shuttle uses one 15-seater on 20-minute rotations, or two vehicles running together above 30 guests. The evening package runs for a fixed 6 hours, covering both the wedding vehicles of 15 and 22 seats.

What does this site cover?

The site has eight sections: the fleet, the services, intercity routes and day trips. It adds multi-day tours, group segments, practical guides and rates, spread across 69 published pages in French and English.
